Leesburg South Fire and Rescue Station

Project Overview

This project will design and construct a new 26,000 square foot Fire and Rescue and Hazmat facility on a five-acre site along Evergreen Mills Road in Leesburg, Va. This facility will be located adjacent to the Sycolin Creek Elementary School.

The Leesburg South Fire, Rescue and Hazmat station will have five bays to house an engine, ambulance, tanker, and hazmat and command officer vehicles, and will include a training room and hazmat response storage area.

Current Status – January 2022

  • The design development phase is complete and the construction document phase has begun. The design team is currently reviewing the construction documents, which are at 75% completion.
  • Land use applications and utility investigations are ongoing.
  • In the next quarter, design work will continue with a focus on building systems such as mechanical, plumbing and electrical.
