Leesburg South Fire and Rescue Station

Project Overview


This project will design and construct a new 26,000 square foot Fire and Rescue and Hazmat facility on a five-acre site along Evergreen Mills Road in Leesburg, Va. This facility will be located adjacent to the Sycolin Creek Elementary School.

The Leesburg South Fire, Rescue and Hazmat station will have five bays to house an engine, ambulance, tanker, and hazmat and command officer vehicles, and will include a training room and hazmat response storage area.

Estimated Timeline:

  • Spring 2022 – Fall 2022: 95% Design Plans
  • Winter 2023 – Winter 2023: 100% Design Plans
  • Summer 2023 – Award Contract-Construction
  • Summer 2023 – Notice to Proceed
  • Summer 2023 – Spring 2025: Construction
  • Spring 2025 – Substantial Completion
