Overview
This project was identified and developed as part of the County's Intersection Improvement Program (IIP) to provide safety improvements at the intersection of Ryan Road and Legacy Park Drive/Cotton Grass Way. As shown in the exhibit below, the current northbound lane configuration at Legacy Park Drive is offset from the Cotton Grass Way northbound lane. Most of the traffic movements from Legacy Park Drive are right turns onto eastbound Ryan Road.
Improvements at this intersection will include the following:
- The Legacy Park Drive shared through/right turn lane will become a right turn only lane.
- The current Legacy Park left turn bay will become a shared through/left turn bay better aligning the through movements with Cotton Grass Way.
- Pavement markings and signing along the Legacy Park Drive approach to Ryan Road will be updated accordingly.
No construction will occur outside of the existing Right of Way.
Design for this improvement is expected to be completed in spring (April through May) 2022. Construction is expected to be completed by late summer (July through September) 2022.
