Service Changes for Loudoun County Transit

Friday, January 24, 2020: Premium Commuter Bus Delays Expected in Afternoon

The March for Life demonstration scheduled for Friday, January 24, 2020, in Washington, D.C. will impact afternoon service for the Loudoun County Transit Premium Commuter Bus service.  Although there will be no changes in service, the midday bus (800D) will not be able to pick up passengers at 3rd & Pennsylvania. Passengers using this stop should go to E & New Jersey or Independence & 6th.

  • All of the roads used for the Loudoun County commuter bus routes in Washington, D.C. should be open and all stops should be accessible (with the exception of the 800D). If there are route/bus stop changes because of the march, riders will be notified through Bus Biz emails and LC Alerts
  • During the 2019 march, buses experienced delays of up to 20 minutes starting at approximately 3:30 p.m., increasing to 40 minutes and then easing between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m.
  • For riders planning on taking the midday bus (800D), a reminder that it services only Dulles North, Leesburg, Harmony and Purcellville Park-and-Ride lots on Fridays.
  • Commuters who normally use the Premium Commuter Bus service may want to consider using Metrorail to avoid the delays that may be caused by the demonstration.
