Loudoun County will hold two more Envision Loudoun Listening and Learning workshops in December.

More than 500 members of the Loudoun community attended the series of interactive workshops held in November. The workshops are part of Loudoun’s effort to develop a New Comprehensive Plan, which will serve as the county’s guiding document for land use and development in the foreseeable future.

The December workshops will be held:
  • Monday, December 5: Woodgrove High School, 36811 Allder School Road, Purcellville

  • Thursday, December 8: Cascades Senior Center, 21060 Whitfield Place, Sterling
Both workshops are scheduled from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and follow the same format.  Participants are encouraged to select the workshop most convenient for them.

At the Listening and Learning workshops, participants hear about the planning process for Envision Loudoun and work closely with fellow Loudoun residents, property owners and business owners to begin crafting a vision for the future of the county. The workshops are designed to be open and inclusive and to encourage participants to share a broad range of insights. Those in attendance will respond to questions about Loudoun’s future using small group discussions and mapping exercises.

“We are very pleased with the level of enthusiasm that members of the public have displayed so far by actively participating in the workshops,” said Planning and Zoning Director Ricky Barker.  “We hope that level of interest will continue throughout the project as we work to develop Loudoun’s future.”

Envision Loudoun addresses growth, land use, transportation, community facilities and amenities, economic development, and fiscal management. More information, including a link to RSVP for a workshop, is online at www.EnvisionLoudoun.org.
