Results of the first round of the Envision Loudoun outreach process are now available. These results, along additional reports, will be used in the development of a new Comprehensive Plan including a new vision and goals to guide the future of the county.

The Phase 1 Public Input Summary Report summarizes what was heard from the community in the workshops and the online community input tool. A Foundations Report, which is a summary of the existing conditions and trends that are shaping Loudoun County, is also available.

“These documents will serve as foundational references that will be used to help shape our work as we begin to identify community preferences for approaches in achieving our goals for the future,” said Planning and Zoning Department Director Ricky Barker. “We are very pleased that so many members of the Loudoun community have participated in the outreach process to date and we are looking forward to the next round of engagement which we expect to occur in late spring.”

More than 900 people attended the Listening and Learning Workshops in November and December and about 500 participated in an online interactive comment and mapping exercise. These efforts resulted in more than 4,500 unique ideas about the future of Loudoun. The workshops and online tool were designed to help the county’s Envision Loudoun project team engage with as many residents, business owners and other stakeholders as possible.

Envision Loudoun addresses growth, land use, transportation, community facilities and amenities, economic development, and fiscal management. More information is available at www.EnvisionLoudoun.org.
