Absentee Voting for June Primary is Underway

Loudoun County election officials remind voters that absentee balloting for the June 13, 2017, primary election will begin Friday, April 28, 2017. 

In-person absentee voting will take place at the Loudoun County Voter Registration Office, 750 Miller Drive. S.E., Suite C, Leesburg, 20175. The hours for absentee voting will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. In addition, absentee voting will be conducted from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, June 10, 2017, which is also the last day to vote an absentee ballot in person. 

The last day for voters to apply to have an absentee ballot mailed to them is Tuesday, June 6, 2017. The last day to register to vote in the June primary is Monday, May 22, 2017. 

On June 13, Democrats will choose nominees for the offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and House of Delegates Districts 33 and 67.  Republicans are selecting nominees for the offices of Governor and Lieutenant Governor.

The election is open to all registered voters in Loudoun County. The Commonwealth of Virginia does not recognize party affiliation when registering citizens to vote. Voters will be asked to choose which primary - Democratic or Republican - they wish to vote in upon arrival at their polling place.
