Anyone interested in learning more about mapping and geographic information systems is invited to attend the 12th annual Loudoun GIS Forum scheduled for Wednesday, May 24, 2017. The event will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at AOL, 44900 Prentice Drive, in Dulles.

This year’s theme is “GIS Connects Us: Citizens, Businesses and Government.” The forum will feature several presentations on that theme as well as a panel discussion by local, regional and national mapping professionals. They will discuss how officials rely on GIS to help them plan for the future, inform residents and influence public policy.  The Loudoun GIS Forum is a one-day, annual event that brings together all levels of government and the private sector to discuss projects, advances in data and technology, and best practices.
Attendees are asked to register by May 17, 2017. An advance registration fee of $30 covers the cost of breakfast and lunch. More information about the forum, including a registration form and a detailed agenda, are online at www.loudoun.gov/GISforum.
