The Loudoun Workforce Resource Center is partnering with Asurion to provide assistance to local job seekers with resume writing, editing, proofreading and computer software/application support.

Representatives of the technology protection company will provide skilled staff at the Workforce Resource Center, 102 Heritage Way N.E. in Leesburg, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 19, 2017.  The center is located on the first floor of the Shenandoah Building (rear entrance). Walk-ins are welcome. No appointments are required.

As part of giving back to the community, Asurion holds an annual volunteer week during which employees partner with organizations and groups to offer a variety of assistance.  “We are excited to pilot this public-private partnership with Asurion’s Sterling office and pleased that the company has included the Loudoun Workforce Resource Center in its corporate giving-back opportunity this year,” said Shelly Rodriguez, Workforce Team Leader. She adds that if other companies or organizations are interested in participating in a similar event, they can contact her at 703-737-8081.

Asurion is a leader in the technology protection industry, providing support solution to customers and insuring millions of consumer devices and appliances.  As working professionals in the field, volunteer staff will also be able to discuss careers in the industry and job potential.

The mission of the Loudoun Workforce Resource Center is to connect businesses and job seekers to achieve their employment goals. For more information about the October 19th event and the center, contact Karen McClelland at 703-771-5934 or visit www.loudoun.gov/wrc.
