Loudoun County officials announce an upcoming long-term, left-lane closure on northbound Belmont Ridge Road, approximately 250 feet north and 650 feet south of the Promenade Drive intersection. The lane closure, part of the Route 7-Route 659 interchange construction project, is set to begin on or about Monday, January 8, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. and is expected to remain in effect for three to four weeks, depending on the weather.
The northbound left lane of Belmont Ridge Road will remain closed until work on portions of the Promenade Drive intersection and improvements on northbound Belmont Ridge Road are complete. Pavement markings and signage will be modified along Belmont Ridge Road northbound to communicate the changes.
The right turn lane onto Promenade Drive from Belmont Ridge Road northbound will not be affected by the work. Additionally, the double left- and single right-lane turn onto Belmont Ridge Road north and south from Promenade Drive will not be affected.
Updates and notices for the Route 7/659 Interchange project construction phase can be found at www.loudoun.gov/route7-659. Questions about the project may be directed to the Loudoun County Department of Transportation & Capital Infrastructure by email.
