Loudoun County officials announce a series of traffic shifts, beginning on or about May 17, 2018, as part of preparations for a significant milestone of the Mooreview Parkway construction project. The work will consist of two phases to allow for the completion of Mooreview Parkway.

Phase 1: Beginning on or about Thursday, May 17, 2018, northbound traffic will shift onto the newly constructed northbound lanes at the intersection of Mooreview Parkway, Amberleigh Farm Drive and Stonegarden Terrace. Turning movements will be restricted and no left turns will be permitted from Amberleigh Farm Drive onto Mooreview Parkway or from Stonegarden Terrace onto Mooreview Parkway during this period.  This phase is scheduled to last approximately 14 days, weather permitting.

Phase 2: Beginning on or about Thursday, May 31, 2018, northbound and southbound traffic will shift in part onto the newly constructed lanes of Mooreview Parkway approaching the intersection of Mooreview Parkway, Amberleigh Farm Drive and Stonegarden Terrace. Phase 2 is scheduled to last approximately seven days, weather permitting.
A detailed view of the work area is online here.

Motorists are advised to watch for signage and traffic control devices, including barrels, during these phases. The dates indicated for work are approximate. The full opening of all lanes will follow completion of the project, which constructs the segment of Mooreview Parkway between Croson Lane and Old Ryan Road. This segment is an important link for access to Moorefield Station Elementary School, Moorefield Community Park and the future Ashburn Metrorail, and is expected to be completed on or about June 8, 2018, weather permitting.

Questions about the project may be directed to Loudoun County Construction Manager McKinley Jones by email or 571-258-3611.
