With the extended forecast for Loudoun calling for a chance for showers and  thunderstorms, Loudoun County officials urge everyone to stay safe.
  • Keep children away from streams and other areas known to flood suddenly.
  • If you come to a flooded roadway, please turn around, don't drown.
  • If you’re driving, be aware that high water and storm damage could still be affecting some area roadways. Road closures and traffic incidents in Loudoun can now be viewed on the Waze traffic and navigation app. Local incident data from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is being provided directly to Waze. Loudoun’s live feed of traffic incidents can be viewed using either the Waze live map or the Waze mobile app.
Loudoun also offers motorists traffic-related information through the “Loudoun Traffic and Road Closures” category of Alert Loudoun, which delivers messages by text and email, and the law enforcement traffic activity map at www.loudoun.gov/traffic
