Loudoun County, VA- A Loudoun County Public School teacher has been charged after participating in an inappropriate (non-sexual) relationship with a child that caused or created a mental injury.
Lindsay R. Mages, 28, of Aldie, Va., was arrested today after she was found to be a person responsible for the victim’s care and created or inflicted, threatened to create or inflict, or allowed to be created or inflicted upon the child a physical or mental injury by other than accidental means, a misdemeanor (18.2 -371 as defined in 16.1-228).
Mages was at times responsible for the student outside of school. The relationship with the student occurred between January 1, 2018, and August 30, 2018, while Mages was a teacher at Discovery Elementary and at Hillside Elementary School. Further information regarding the child is not being released to protect their identity.
Mages is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
