Loudoun County Business Tax Filings Due March 1, 2019

Loudoun County Commissioner of the Revenue Robert S. Wertz Jr. reminds business owners to report their calendar year 2018 gross receipts by Friday, March 1, 2019, at www.loudoun.gov/efile. The license tax or fee can then be paid at www.loudoun.gov/paytaxes. The filing of receipts and payment of the tax are due by midnight March 1, 2019.

Owners of business equipment that was located in Loudoun County on January 1, 2019, must declare it for taxation to the Commissioner of the Revenue at www.loudoun.gov/efile. The reporting of original cost, year of purchase and item description is due by midnight, March 1, 2019. Semi-annual bills for this equipment will be issued by the Loudoun County Treasurer’s Office and will be due on May 5 and October 5.  

A 10 percent late filing penalty will be automatically imposed on any business license or business equipment filing completed after the March 1 deadline.
