Website-Serious Crime

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July 5, 2019

Loudoun County, VA- An Ashburn man has been charged with involuntary manslaughter after a single-vehicle crash Thursday night that took the life of a passenger in his vehicle.

Cameron T. Prince, 30, of Ashburn, was traveling northbound on Randolph Drive toward Prentice Drive in Sterling around 11:30 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and crossed into the southbound lanes before leaving the roadway. At one point the vehicle became airborne before crashing into a tree. Speed is a factor in the crash.

A passenger in the vehicle was taken to Reston Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The name of the victim has not been released at this time.

The roadway was closed for over six hours as members of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit conducted the investigation in consultation with the Loudoun Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.

Prince is being held on no bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
