Loudoun County election officials have issued some reminders to voters ahead of the Tuesday, May 19, 2020, elections in the towns of Hamilton and Round Hill.

Absentee Voting

  • The last day to vote absentee in person at the Office of Elections and Voter Registration, 750 Miller Drive SE, Suite C, in Leesburg,  is Saturday, May 16, 2020, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Voting is done curbside. There are signs directing voters to contact election officials upon their arrival.
  • Voters who requested a ballot be mailed to them are encouraged to vote and return the ballot, which will help reduce the number of people voting in person on election day.
  • Voters who have requested a ballot be mailed to them may drop it off at the Office of Elections and Voter Registration: Saturday, May 16, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Monday, May 18, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., or Tuesday, May 19, 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.  Voters may contact election officials upon arrival or place the ballot in a secure box in the lobby.
  • All ballots must be received at the Office of Elections and Voter Registration no later than 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 19.

In-Person Voting

For voters choosing to vote at their precinct on election day:

  • Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at your normal voting location.
  • As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, physical distancing will be in effect with no more than 10 people allowed in the voting room at one time. Be prepared for possible delays.
  • Curbside voting will be available at both precincts. You may vote from the safety of your car by pulling up to the sign and calling the phone number on the sign. A precinct worker will come out and assist you.
  • Voters entering the precinct are asked to wear face coverings to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
  • Voters are asked to leave non-voting family members, including children, at home as strict capacity rules will be in place. If you must bring additional people, please use the curbside voting option.

Upcoming Elections

A reminder that the municipal elections in the towns of Lovettsville, Middleburg and Purcellville have been moved to Thursday, June 4, 2020. Absentee voting is encouraged. The deadline for voters in these three towns to request a ballot by mail is Thursday, May 28, 2020.
