[ARCHIVED] February 13, 2021: All County Facilities to Close Early, 4 PM Saturday

Due to the forecasted inclement weather, all Loudoun County facilities will close early Saturday, February 13, 2021, at 4:00 p.m.  The National Weather Service has issued an Ice Storm Warning that includes Loudoun County, in effect until Sunday (Feb. 14) morning. 

Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS)

  • All PRCS recreation centers, community centers, senior centers that are usually open Saturday evenings and operated by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services will close at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021, and all programs after 4:00 p.m. are canceled. 

Loudoun County Animal Services (LCAS)

  • The LCAS animal shelter will close at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13.

Loudoun County Public Library (LCPL)

  • All LCPL branches will close at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13.

COVID-19 Hotline

  • The Health Department’s COVID-19 call center will close at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13. Residents with questions related to COVID-19 may call the Virginia Department of Health’s call center at 877-ASK-VDH3 (877-275-8343) until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic 

  • The county’s vaccination clinic is closed, Saturday, February 13, 2021. All individuals who had vaccination appointments for Saturday will be contacted to reschedule their appointments at the next available opportunity. 
  • As a reminder, pre-registration to receive the COVID-19 vaccine is temporarily unavailable beginning at 5:00 p.m. on February 12, 2021 as we transition to the new statewide system. Read more details about this change.
  • More information about the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination effort is posted at loudoun.gov/COVID19vaccine.

  • The county is carefully monitoring the weather forecast. At this time, no other decisions regarding county operations for Sunday, February 14, 2021, that may be impacted by the forecasted inclement weather have been made. 
  • The public is encouraged to stay informed about weather-related impacts by signing up for email and text alerts at loudoun.gov/alerts or loudoun.gov/notifyme. Visit loudoun.gov any time for the latest updates on county operations.
