In-Person Voting for June Democratic Primary Begins April 23

Loudoun County election officials announce that in-person voting for the June 8, 2021, Democratic primary election begins Friday, April 23, 2021, at the Office of Elections and Voter Registration, 751 Miller Drive SE in Leesburg. In addition, ballots are being sent to those voters who requested that they receive a ballot in the mail.  

All registered voters in Virginia are eligible to vote early in person in the county in which they are registered to vote. There is no pre-application required for in-person early voting. 

Early voting hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Closed May 31 for Memorial Day) with extended hours to include Saturdays beginning May 29 at the Leesburg office and additional early voting sites throughout the county. Exact dates, times and locations are posted at loudoun.gov/voteearly. Early voting is available through June 5, 2021.

Any registered voter may request an absentee ballot by mail. The deadline to request a ballot by mail for the June primary is Friday, May 28, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. Voters who cannot safely have a witness present while completing the absentee ballot for the primary election are not required to have a witness present. Information on how to request a ballot is online at loudoun.gov/voteathome.

Voters who are blind or have low vision or have impaired manual dexterity have the option of voting an absentee ballot using an electronic ballot marking tool. More information about accessible voting options can be found at elections.virginia.gov/accessible.

Anyone who has not registered to vote in Loudoun has until May 17 to register to vote in the June 8 election.
