Loudoun County, VA (September 22, 2021) – An investigation conducted by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has determined that there was no attempted abduction in Round Hill as was reported last night to law enforcement.
The juvenile teenaged female did have contact with a driver who asked her for gas money but at no time did he attempt to assault or harm her.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public for their assistance during the course of this investigation.
Loudoun County, VA (September 21, 2021) – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a reported attempted abduction in Round Hill.
The teenaged juvenile victim reported she was walking in the area of Main Street and High Street when she was approached by an unknown male in a blue/grey sedan. The subject initially asked her for money for gas and then asked if she knew anything about cars. At one point he grabbed the victim who was able to free herself.
The subject was described as a Black male, 5’8”- 5’9” tall, and told the victim he was 18 years old. He was further described as wearing a brown leather jacket and blue jeans.
Detectives are asking anyone in the area around 4 p.m. who witnessed any suspicious activity to call 703-777-1021. Deputies were called to the area shortly before 4:30 p.m.
Detectives with the LCSO are currently seeking any possible video from exterior surveillance cameras in the area.
