LCSO Investigating Fatal Crash in Sterling

Loudoun County, VA (December 12, 2022) – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that occurred early this morning in the 500 block of E. Staunton Avenue in Sterling.    
    
This morning at approximately 2:43 a.m., the driver of a 2013 Dodge Charger was traveling on E. Staunton Avenue when he struck two parked vehicles.  The driver of the Charger, Jason A. Recinos-Funes, 25 of Sterling, was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.   

Witnesses to the crash who have not already spoken with law enforcement are asked to contact Investigator T. Alpy of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit at 703-777-1021.
