The former Leesburg Annex Ballfield was renamed and dedicated to former Major League Baseball player, Toby Atwell. Toby played high school baseball in Loudoun County and was the first player from the county to play for MLB. He played in the All Star Game July 8, 1952.
The property is owned by Loudoun County Public Schools and managed and maintained by PRCS.
