ARPA Durable Medical Equipment Services Grant
The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Durable Medical Equipment Services Grant Program is designed to provide one or more nonprofits with funding to make durable medical equipment more accessible to Loudoun residents with low incomes who continue to be affected by the negative economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and require support to maintain their employment, transportation, insurance and other services. Durable medical equipment is medical equipment, supplies or appliances suitable for use at home to treat a diagnosed condition or assist an individual with functional limitations.
Applications are now being accepted. The deadline to apply is 4:00 p.m., Friday, February 9, 2024.

Through a competitive annual process, Loudoun County provides funding for community programs and initiatives. The purpose of the county’s annual nonprofit grant program is to strengthen the county’s coordination and collaboration with nonprofit partners, and ensure opportunities for local funds to be leveraged in the most effective manner for core safety net services that assist vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and families in meeting a critical need for safety, health, security and independence.
Nonprofits, municipalities and businesses in Loudoun County are invited to apply for funding annually for projects to attract regional and national visitors to Loudoun County. Loudoun County’s Tourism Grants are designed to help support initiatives that bring more visitors to Loudoun County, increase overnight stays in Loudoun hotels, and enhance the overall attractiveness and marketability of Loudoun County as a destination. These may include new or enhanced attractions, events, programs, or marketing campaigns.

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program provides funding on an annual basis for local projects that address a variety of housing, public service, and community development needs. Eligible applicants for CDBG funds include local nonprofit organizations and local government entities in Loudoun County or those mainly serving Loudoun County residents. This training, offered in both video and slideshow format, provides a general review of grant application terminology, grant sources, writing strategies, and tips for stronger applications.
