General Information

A Primary Election has been called and is hereby scheduled on June 12, 2018, for the purpose of nominating a candidate for the Democratic Party for the office of Member, US House of Representatives, 10th District.

A Primary Election has been called and is hereby scheduled on June 12, 2018, for the purpose of nominating a candidate for the Republican Party for the offices of Member, US Senate, and Member US House of Representatives, 10th District.

Information for Voters

This election is open to all registered voters in Loudoun County. The Commonwealth of Virginia does not recognize party affiliation when registering citizens to vote.

Polling Place: Vote at your normal polling location. Note: There have been some precinct changes since the last election. They are detailed in this news release.

Hours: Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2018.

Please note
that many of our poll locations are in Loudoun County Public Schools and schools will be open on Election Day.  Voters are encouraged to vote before or after school hours if possible and to postpone voting during the times when school buses are dropping off or picking up students.

Voter ID
Voters are required to show an acceptable form of photo identification at their precinct.  Acceptable forms of photo ID include a Virginia DMV-issued driver’s license, a U.S. passport, a student photo ID from a college or university located in Virginia, or a government- issued photo ID.  Voters who do not have one of these forms of photo ID are eligible for a free Virginia Voter Photo ID Card. Candidates Appearing on Ballot 

Write-in candidates are not permitted in primary elections in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Voters may request either the Democratic Party Ballot OR the Republican Party Ballot but not both.

Deadlines:
- Last day to apply to have a ballot mailed to you was Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.
- Last day to vote an absentee ballot in person was Saturday, June 9, 2018 (office will be open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
