  1. Lantern & Ornament Worshop

    December 2, 6:30 PM - 7:15 PM

    Children three and older are invited to this annual workshop to make their own lantern and ornament for the Lovettsville Lantern Parade. All supplies are included, including glow sticks for safe illumination during the parade. Use RecTrac activity number 202701-01 to register in advance.

  2. Lovettsville Lantern Parade

    December 2, 7:30 PM - 9:15 PM

    Make this German custom part of your holiday traditions! Bring a lantern (or make one at the workshop preceding the parade) and join us in the community center parking lot at 7:30 p.m. The parade ends at the Town Square for the annual holiday tree lighting and carols led by the Lovettsville Elementary School chorus! This event is co-sponsored by the Town of Lovettsville and Lovettsville Community Center.

  3. Christmas Craft Show December 3

    December 3, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

    This Saturday, December 3, you're invited to a a PRCS 50th Anniversary Passport Event - the annual Christmas Craft Show at Middleburg Community Center from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Festivities in town also include family activities, food and refreshments and the Christmas Parade.   4. Lunch with Santa - a PRCS Passport Event!

    December 10, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

    Bring the kids for games, crafts, photos and lunch with Santa! Advance registration is required. Use activity #203789-01 or #203789-02. Parents or guardians have the option of purchasing lunch. Children's price includes all activities and lunch. This is a PRCS 50th Anniversary Passport Event. Be sure to visit the Passport Stop.

  5. Lucketts Bluegrass Christmas Jamboree

    December 17, 7:00 PM

    The Lucketts Bluegrass Christmas Jamboree, a group of musicians selected from some of Lucketts’ favorite bands, will put on a special Christmas concert Saturday, December 17, at 7 p.m. The show will be capped with a grand finale sing-along. Musicians include IBMA Hall of Fame member, Tom Gray, on bass; Jay Armsworthy of Eastern Tradition on guitar and vocals; Tom Mindte of Patuxent Partners on mandolin and vocals; Wally Hughes on fiddle, dobro, guitar and vocals; Lisa-Kay-Howard on mandolin and vocals; John Brunschwyler on bluegrass banjo; and teenager, Victor Furtado, on old-time banjo. Santa Claus will make his annual visit to Lucketts with gifts for kids of all ages!

  6. Dance Your Way to a Happy New Year!

    December 29, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

    Start your New Year's celebration early! Anyone 55 and better is invited to a dance party at the Senior Center at Cascades Thursday, December 29, from 2 p.m until 4 p.m. Music will be provided by DJ Sky Dantinne (tunes from the 50’s through today). Individual and group photos will be available at our “Party Photo Booth.” Tickets are $5 for center members in advance or $7 for non-members and at the door. Advance purchase is recommended.
