  3. Lighted Night

    December 15, 2018, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Claude Moore Park

    (All ages) Holiday in the Park light displays will be available for viewing during a special extended opening of Claude Moore Park. Stop by on a Saturday for a leisurely night stroll (self-guided) down Vestals Gap Rd and into the historic district to enjoy the festive decorations. Take a peek into our Lanesville Ordinary which is decorated in the style of both Colonial and Victorian eras. Park closes promptly at 7pm. Bring a flashlight. Call 571-258-3700 for more information.

  4. We Are The Music Makers! Opening Reception & Blues Concert

    We are the Music Makers! is a photo and audio exhibit that will educate and engage you in the cultural history of Southern traditional music. Photographed and recorded by Tim Duffy in his quest to preserve Southern traditional music by partnering with the artists who make it. A blues concert, with musicians John Ferguson Jr., Patricia Cohen, Harvey Dalton Arnold, James Norwood and Phil Mazarick, brings this exhibit to life.

  7. Planetarium Shows

    December 27, 2018, 2:30 PM @ Franklin Park Performing & Visual Arts Center

    (Ages 4 & up) Step inside our Digitalis Delta 4 inflatable planetarium to experience the wonder of space, visit the galaxies, launch to the moon and learn to identify constellations. Star shows typically last 30-40 minutes and are appropriate for ages 4 and up. Planetarium shows are on the stage of the theater with mostly floor seating. You must call to register in advance at 540-338-7973.

  8. Tanglewood Marionettes: "Cinderella"

    December 28, 2018, 3:00 PM @ Franklin Park Performing & Visual Arts Center

    (Ages 2 & up) Set in the eighteenth century and featuring a dozen lavishly costumed 30” marionettes, this production of Cinderella is a Tanglewood Marionettes showpiece. The story unfolds as the pages of a giant book open to reveal each beautifully painted setting. Based on the original beloved tale, with a few new surprises: and when all hope seems lost, a clever little bluebird saves the day for Cinderella.
