    (Ages 18 & up) It’s our second Saturday of the month Indoor Yard Sale event! Registration includes 10' x 10' space, six-foot table and one chair.   2. Planetarium Shows

    September 8, 2019, 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM @ Franklin Park Performing & Visual Arts Center

    (Ages 4 & up) Step inside our Digitalis Delta 4 inflatable planetarium to experience the wonder of space, visit the galaxies, launch to the moon and learn to identify constellations. Star shows typically last 30-40 minutes with monthly themes and mostly floor seating. YOU MUST CALL TO REGISTER 540-338-7973

  3. Bats & S'mores at Claude Moore Park

    September 8, 2019, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Claude Moore Park

    (Ages 6 & up) Join the Friends of Claude Moore Park to learn about the bats in our area. Gather around the fire and enjoy s’mores and hear about our bat species from Master Naturalist Frank McLaughlin. At dusk, Frank will use technology to identify the different species through the special echolocation sounds they make. This fun evening at the Park is a great way to start the fall season!
