Erosion & Sediment Control
The primary mission of the county's Erosion and Sediment Control Program is to minimize the degradation of properties, stream channels, water quality, and other natural resources by enforcing established requirements for the control of soil erosion, sediment deposits, and stormwater runoff. This is accomplished through the education of the county’s citizens and the development community on the importance of erosion and sediment control and through the enforcement of the Virginia Erosion and Sediment Control Law and Loudoun County‘s Codified Ordinances.
