Details & Use
All of the map layers in the county’s Geographic Information System (GIS) are registered to a 1:2,400 scale base map that conforms to all applicable national standards. It is usually partially maintained on an annual basis from aerial photography.

The base map is used extensively in the development and maintenance of other layers such as floodplains and steep slopes. The aerial photography is likewise used extensively and can be found on the county’s Online Mapping System. It is also used in the Computer Aided Dispatching System (CAD).
