Copy Information
Copies of Land Records
To obtain copies of land records, you must know the instrument number or deed book and page number of the document. The deed book and page number are available in the grantee and grantor indexes.

Copies by Mail
To request copies by mail, please submit a letter providing the deed book and page or instrument number for the document being requested, the appropriate fee with checks made payable to Clerk of Circuit Court, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to return your copies. Please mail requests to:

** Certification of documents is an additional $2.00 and is per document
*** Copies can be made from most books and documents, however, the Clerk's Office reserves the right to refuse to make copies from items deemed over-sized or fragile.

Payment Types
The Historic Records/Deed Research Division accepts cash, check and credit cards as payment for copies. Credit cards are only accepted for over the counter transactions.  For more information on credit card transactions please click here.  Escrow/Copy accounts for use with the public access computers can be opened by submitting a Land Records Escrow Account form.
