Miscellaneous Papers
Miscellaneous papers are small categories of papers that were filed with court, oaths and notes kept by the clerk on daily and yearly functions of the county court. Most of these papers were pulled from court’s judgment packets and date from 1757-1950s. The papers include over 40 subject categories which include the jail, sheriff, clerk’s office, commonwealth attorney, and towns.

These papers are from the county’s Judgment Packets and include a variety of public and private papers filed in the county from 1757 to the present. Index

CCA Files
CCA Files include miscellaneous Circuit Court Archive papers not found in Judgment Packets from 1757 to present.  Notable documents include various 20th century ordinances (subdivision, zoning, etc.), annual reports, original minute book indexes, and more. Index

These papers include individuals who applied for United States citizenship in Loudoun County in the 19th century and early 20th century.  Index

Estray is any domestic animal found wandering at large or lost, particularly if the owner is unknown.  Index

Land Books (Assessments)

Land Books from 1851 to 1991 are available to view in the Historic Records & Deed Research Division of the Clerk's Office.  The early years are incomplete with some years missing.  Due to the large size and fragile condition of these records, no copies will be made from the books.  Assessments from 1992 to 2012 can be viewed in the office on Microfiche.
