Ron Meyer was elected to represent the Broad Run District on the Board of Supervisors in November 2015. He serves on the Board's Transportation and Land Use Committee. He represents Loudoun on the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission, the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments' Air Quality Committee, and the National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board.

As an executive for MediaDC, the parent company of the Washington Examiner and Weekly Standard, Meyer manages a millennial-focused publication, Red Alert Politics. He frequently appears on Fox News, Fox Business Network, CNN, and other media outlets as an expert on politics, business, and youth issues.

Before joining MediaDC, Meyer ran his own Northern Virginia public relations firm, Springboard Media Strategies LLC. At age 21, his first job after college was as spokesman for Herndon-based Young America’s Foundation (YAF), one of the largest youth-related non-profits in the country. At YAF, Meyer earned national media attention with the creation of the Youth Misery Index (YMI). The YMI combined youth unemployment, average graduating student loan debt, and national debt per capita to highlight growing poverty among young Americans.

Meyer graduated from Principia College, a parochial school in  Elsah, Illinois, with a bachelor’s degree in political science. During college, he played three sports – football, baseball, and rugby – and interned for Fox News, the Christian Science Monitor, Radio America and the National Journalism Center.

Ron and his wife, Celia, live in Ashburn with their daughter, Lincoln.
