New Comprehensive Plan
Link to Charter for New Comprehensive PlanLoudoun County is in the process of developing a new Comprehensive Plan. A Comprehensive Plan is a community-based vision for the county’s future and serves as a land use policy document and a guide for decision- making. In particular, the policies in the plan guide the Board of Supervisors’ land use development decisions.

The current Comprehensive Plan consists of the Revised General Plan, the Revised Countywide Transportation Plan, a companion to the General Plan, and a number of specific strategic plans. The Comprehensive Plan also serves as the foundation for amendments to the Zoning and Subdivision ordinances to ensure the county's land use goals are implemented through the regulatory process. This planning effort will focus on developing a new General Plan and a new Countywide Transportation Plan.
