Slave Issues: 1757-1865
Slave Papers 1757-1861 refers to judgments and deeds found in the Slave Issues Collection.  Fiduciary References and Misc. Papers References refer to documents that list slaves found in other record collections such as Will Packets, Criminal Cases, and Guardian Papers.  Each index can be searched by using "Ctrl F" to find specific names.  

Free Black Papers: 1757-1865
These papers include the official paperwork and certificates of free blacks in Loudoun County. They also include Commonwealth cases (criminal cases) brought against free blacks for remaining in the state for more than a year.
