Chancery Cases
Each of Virginia's Circuit Courts maintain chancery records that contain considerable historical and genealogical information. Because the records rely so heavily on testimony from witnesses, they offer a unique glimpse into the lives of Virginians from 1757 through 1940.

Chancery Records 1757-1912
The Library of Virginia maintains a searchable database along with images of chancery records from 1757-1912 for many Virginia counties including Loudoun.  Chancery files for Loudoun County can also be viewed at the Clerk of the Court archives.
