At the December 16, 2015, Board of Supervisors business meeting, the Board approved the Planned Development-Mixed Use Business District (PD-MUB) Zoning Ordinance Amendment (ZOAM-2015-0005).  The items prepared for the December 16 meeting are below.  

At the December 2, 2015, Board of Supervisors Business Meeting, the Board forwarded the Planned Development-Mixed Use Business District (PD-MUB) Zoning Ordinance Amendment (ZOAM) to the December 16, 2015, Board of Supervisors business meeting for action. The final draft of the ZOAM and accompanying materials prepared for the meeting will be posted online once they are available. The items prepared for the December 2 meeting are below:
At the November 20, 2015, meeting of the Board of Supervisors' Transportation and Land Use Committee (TLUC), the committee amended the Planned Development-Mixed Use Business District (PD-MUB) zoning district to remove data center uses as principal stand-alone uses from the district; and directed staff to incorporate language that restricts the district to suburban areas. The committee forwarded the Mixed-Use Zoning Ordinance Amendment (ZOAM) to the December 2, 2015, Board of Supervisors business meeting with recommendation for approval. The materials prepared for the TLUC meeting are online.

The item was forwarded to the TLUC committee by the Board of Supervisors following its November 12, 2015, public hearing.

At a November 5, 2015, work session, the Loudoun County Planning Commission forwarded the Mixed-Use Zoning Ordinance Amendment (ZOAM) to the commission's November 17, 2015, work session.

At its public hearing on October 20, 2015, the Loudoun County Planning Commission voted to forwarded the Mixed-Use Zoning Ordinance Amendment (ZOAM) to a November 5, 2015, Planning Commission work session.

Background
On June 3, 2015, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors adopted a Resolution of Intent to Amend the Revised 1993 Loudoun County Zoning Ordinance to initiate a Zoning Ordinance amendment (ZOAM 2015-0005) to revise the regulations regarding the Planned Development-Mixed Use Business District (PD-MUB)  and the Planned Development-Town Center District (PD-TC). The ZOAM is intended to permit flexibility in development regulations for each zoning district.
