The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors adopted Zoning Ordinance and Comprehensive Plan Amendments for telecommunication facilities at its Wednesday, July 13, 2016, public hearing.  The meeting is available for viewing through the Loudoun County webcast system. The items prepared for the meeting are online below. 

Regulations regarding Telecommunications are described in the Revised 1993 Loudoun County Zoning Ordinance and in the Strategic Land Use Plan for Telecommunication Facilities.


May 24, 2016
The Loudoun County Planning Commission approved an application for Zoning Ordinance and Comprehensive Plan Amendments for telecommunication facilities.

March 17, 2016
The Board of Supervisors adopted a Resolution of Intent to Amend the Revised 1993 Loudoun County Zoning Ordinance to permit telecommunication facilities in Rural Hamlets (which are permitted in A-3 and A-10 zoning districts) and Planned Development- Rural Village (PD-RV) zoning districts

March 1, 2016
The Board of Supervisors adopted the resolution of intent to amend the Revised 1993 Loudoun County Zoning Ordinance and initiated an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan to allow for a streamlined administrative approval process for certain telecommunication facilities, such as small cell and wireless broadband antennas.
