The Planning Commission
considered a Zoning Ordinance Amendment for Planned Development Town Center (PD-TC) (ZOAM-2016-0008) to the Revised 1993 Zoning Ordinance
on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at its public hearing. The Planning Commission voted to forward the item to a work session.

The purpose of the Planned Development - Town Center Zoning Ordinance Amendment (ZOAM) is to effect changes to Section 4-800, Planned Development-Town Center (PD-TC) Zoning District provisions and related sections to foster increased flexibility to applicants in administration of the PD-TC district while facilitating high-quality town center developments.
The objective of increased flexibility in the application of mixed-use zoning districts was expressed in the March 2012 Stakeholder Matrix of Issues. The concept was prioritized by the Board of Supervisors and included in the Zoning Ordinance Action Group’s (ZOAG’s) Work Plan and the 2016 Zoning Ordinance Amendment Work Program approved on April 5, 2016 by the Board.
Draft text for ZOAM 2016-0008 was distributed on August 2, 2016, for referral comments, which are due to the project manager August 26, 2016.
