Board of Supervisors Meetings
The Board of Supervisors holds its regular business meetings beginning at 5:00 p.m. on:
- First Tuesday of the month
- Thursday during the week following the monthly public hearing
The Board’s monthly public hearing will be held at 6:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the week following the first business meeting of the month.
Board meeting dates and times, including those of the Board's Standing Committees, are posted on the Loudoun County Government Master Calendar. In general, board meetings, public hearings, board committee meetings and workshops are open to the public. However, the Board sometimes schedules executive sessions to discuss issues relating to personnel, legal matters or land acquisition. These meetings are closed to the public.
Sign up to Speak to the Board of Supervisors
The Board of Supervisors encourages people to sign up to speak at the board's public input sessions or public hearings. The schedule of meetings is at the top of this page. The meetings also are posted on the Loudoun County Government Master Calendar.
To sign up, please call the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at 703-777-0200. Advanced sign-ups are usually taken until 12:00 noon the day of the meeting, with the exception of the public input session at the beginning of the second business meeting of the month. Advanced sign-ups for that session must be made by the end of the business day prior to the meeting. Anyone wishing to speak during the public input sessions of the business meetings or at the public hearings may also sign up with the clerk beginning 30 minutes before the start of the meeting. Unless otherwise noted, speakers have a minimum of two minutes.
Public input at the Board’s business meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. At the second business meeting of the month, an additional time of public input will be included at the beginning of the agenda.
Board of Supervisors Meeting Room Location
Meetings of the Board of Supervisors typically take place in the Board Room on the first floor of the Loudoun County Government Center at 1 Harrison Street, S.E., Leesburg, 20175. Meetings of the Board's standing committees typically take place in the Board Room or the Dulles Room, both of which are located on the first floor of the government center,
