Emergency Home Repair and Accessibility Grant
The Emergency Home Repair and Accessibility Grant is available countywide to homeowners who are at least 62 years old and/or have a household member with a disability.

Household income must be at or below 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

The program provides funds through a one-time forgivable grant of up to $5,000 to make emergency repairs and/or accessibility renovations.

How It Works

The homeowner, the county construction technician, and a contractor assess the renovation needs of the property. Typical repairs and/or accessibility renovations include roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, interior/exterior components and accessibility items to improve quality of life. Emergency repairs can be to any component which constitutes a health/safety hazard or hindrance to quality of life. All work is performed by licensed, bonded and insured contractors.
