Water Resources Technical Advisory Committee (WRTAC)

Once the 2016 meeting scheduled of the Water Resources Technical Advisory Committee (WRTAC) is established, it will be posted on this web page. Dates, times, and locations of meetings also will be posted on the Loudoun County Government Master Calendar.

Appointed Members
The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors has appointed the following members of WRTAC, who will serve terms concurrent with the Board, from 2016 through 2019: Christy Bixler, James Emery, Linda Erbs, Steven Hall, Steve Heyl, Kevin Murray, Glenn Pearson, Jayashree  Sreenivasan, Matthew Vogl, and Ralph Watson.

Other WRTAC Meeting Documents  Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide a quality control function for the county’s groundwater quality and quantity; surface water quality, quantity and habitat; watershed management; flood control management; and stormwater management programs from both the local and regional perspective.
  • Provide technical assistance to staff.
  • Provide the Board of Supervisors a quarterly report of the Water Resources Technical Advisory Committee’s findings and recommendations related to the county’s water resource programs.
  • Provide the Board of Supervisors input and recommendation for policy direction related to programs and associated issues (i.e. land use planning).
  • Review and provide recommendations for work plan parameters, collected data, staff recommendations, and program enhancements for the county’s water resource programs.

Primary staff support to the Water Resources Technical Advisory Committee is from the Engineering Division of the Loudoun County Department of Building & Development. Staff from other county departments provide additional support as needed.
