Filing Fees
Civil fees are assessed in accordance with specific statutes. Some fees apply to certain filings and not to others. Please be advised that the laws are subject to change annually, usually on July 1st. It is your responsibility to determine if amendments have been made to any statutes or fees referenced. A civil cover sheet must be filed with each new case.

*If you are trying to petition for proceeding in a civil case without payment of fees, you will need to submit Form CC-1414.

The following forms of payment are accepted in person at the Clerk's office:
  • Master Card or Visa (There is a convenience fee when using a card (4% or $2, whichever is greater))
  • Cash
  • Check or money order - made payable to "Clerk of Circuit Court" (WE DO NOT ACCEPT STARTER CHECKS)

The following forms of payment are accepted by mail:
  • Check or money order - made payable to "Clerk of Circuit Court" (WE DO NOT ACCEPT STARTER CHECKS)

At this time, the Civil Division does not accept any payments over the phone. 

A fee of $50 will be assessed for returned checks due to stop-payment and insufficient funds.
