We are located in western Loudoun County in the village of Bluemont. The center strives to provide services to the citizens of Loudoun County in a friendly small-town atmosphere. Bluemont is staffed by four full-time support people and many other dedicated teachers and child care professionals.
The center itself is an old schoolhouse which opened in 1923, and served the community until the early 1960s. The school then sat empty until 1988 when the local community provided the spark to convert the building into a Community Center.
The center is especially proud of its state-licensed preschool and daycare programs. With small classes and nurturing teachers, it is an ideal spot for young children to grow and learn. Please stop by the center and meet the staff and check out our programs.
Bluemont offers state-licensed preschool classes for two-year-olds, three-year-olds, four-year-olds and an after-kindergarten program. All classes have limited enrollment allowing teachers to provide a caring, nurturing environment where all the children receive the attention they need.
Our teachers and staff are dedicated to making sure your child has a positive first exposure to school and learning in a group atmosphere. For registration information, call the center at 540-554-8643.
Licensed Child Care
Bluemont Community Center also offers a state-licensed child care program for children ages three to five. There are many options in this program to fit your child care needs from drop-in to full-time care. Daycare staff provides a safe nurturing environment for your child to grow and learn. For more information call 540-554-4838.
Bluemont Community Center Advisory Board
The Bluemont Community Center Advisory Board (BCCAB) is composed mainly of parents of children and adults enrolled in the various programs at the community center. We provide entertaining and educational events for adults and children including the annual Halloween Party and the Easter Egg Hunt.
The BCCAB also spends significant energy in fund-raising events. Funds are used to sponsor the traditional events, provide scholarships, and to purchase little extras for use by the community center. You may contact the advisory board through the President, Julie Garrison, at document.write('barefootbistro'+'@'+'hotmail.com')" class="Hyperlink" href="mailto: e-mail" target="_blank">email
