About the Center
For more than 40 years we have been providing recreational activities for the Lovettsville community and surrounding areas. Our facility includes a large community center with a full-sized gymnasium, classrooms, a commercial kitchen, and a meeting room. Outdoor amenities include a pool that is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, two lighted tennis courts, a large playground with swings and seating, a baseball field, a basketball court and a memorial garden.
We offer three state- licensed programs: Preschool, Childcare and the County After School Activities (CASA) Program serving Lovettsville Elementary School children in grades 1-5.
We specialize in family events, including our Independence Day Celebration (celebrated on July 3), Trunk or Treat, the Annual Egg Hunt, Daddy Daughter Dance, Lego Mania, Snowflake Ball, Oktoberfest and our Pancake Supper.
The Lovettsville Pool offers amenities including summer swim lessons, water aerobics and rentals for get-together's and birthday parties. Our favorite summer pool events include the Cardboard Boat Regatta, Family Luau and Dog Swim.
We offer classes for all ages, interests, and abilities. Activities for children include Soccer, Gymnastics, Crafts, Dodgeball, Cooking, Exercise, LEGO/Computer-gaming instruction and more. For adults, we offer a multi-faceted exercise program for all fitness levels featuring Zumba and Yoga, as well as different cardio and strength classes.
For seniors (55 and up) in the area, we offer seasonal trips, lunches with home-made recipes, time for socializing, and classes like Zumba Gold for the fitness-minded.
The Lovettsville Community Center Advisory Board is an important support group, providing sponsorship for special events and many volunteer hours to help with important fundraisers. The proceeds from those provide extra equipment, supplies and preschool scholarships to enhance recreational experiences for our community.

(State) Licensed Preschool & Childcare
Classes in our licensed Preschool Program for children 3-5 years old, use learning centers to teach socialization and academic skills, with no more than a 10-to-1 ratio. Registration is usually held in February-March for the following school year. Parents seeking childcare have several options. For ages 3-6, we offer childcare from 7:00 a.m. - 6:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. For school-age children, we offer the County After School Activities Program, CASA, from 2:45 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. For more information on these programs, please call us at 540-822-5284.
Lovettsville Community Center Advisory Board
The Lovettsville Community Center Advisory Board (LCCAB) is a group of local volunteers working in tandem with the Lovettsville Community Center staff. The LCCAB sponsors several special events, such as the annual Independence Day celebration and Preschool Art Show and Silent Auction. Proceeds from these and other fund raisers provide extra equipment, supplies and scholarships.
LCCAB is also spearheading "Pennies for the Park" to raise money for developing Lovettsville Community Park. This 92-acre active and passive recreational park is directly across from the Community Center. For more information, call 540-822-5284.
