C.A.R.E (Companion Animal Resource Effort)
The CARE Program provides temporary assistance to residents of Loudoun County that are temporarily unable to afford to provide veterinary care for their beloved companion animals. The program strives to preserve the bond between owners and their companion animals by providing temporary financial assistance, with the goal of keeping pets in loving homes.
How We Can Help
Participating veterinarians provide high quality services at a reduced cost to the CARE Program. Vouchers are available by request for the treatment of illness or injury and to provide necessary prescription medications for the companion animals of approved CARE recipients. CARE recipients must request assistance on an as needed basis prior to their veterinary appointment. Once a request for assistance has been approved, the CARE program will send a voucher to the participating veterinarian, which will outline the terms of approval for the appointment. CARE funds are limited and are provided on a first come, first served basis to approved CARE recipients only. Please click here

* Routine vaccinations are not provided by the CARE Program, if you are interested in low cost vaccinations, please click here.
If you are interested in having your dog or cat spayed or neutered but cannot afford to do so, the CARE program may be able to help. Once a request for assistance has been approved, the CARE program will send a voucher to the participating veterinarian. Please click here

*If you are applying for vet care assistance, you do not need to fill out a separate application for CARE Spay/Neuter
