On October 7, 2015, the Board of Supervisors approved a work plan to amend Chapter 1066. The work plan provides target dates for Staff and Board review and includes and extensive stakeholder input process. Staff has proposed some changes to Chapter 1066 as a means to update dated language and terminology and codify longstanding existing Health Department policies. In addition to these proposed changes, stakeholders will have an opportunity to propose additional changes to the ordinance. Stakeholders include, but are not limited to, industrial professionals, business and development professionals, homeowners with well and septic systems, and environmental and conservation groups. Staff anticipates the stakeholder input process to be completed by February 2016, with changes brought forward to the Board of Supervisors Transportation and Land Use Committee in May 2016.
